MUMBAI: Late singer Whitney Houston who earned several accolades during her reign has entered Guinness World Records, after 12 of her tracks became chart toppers following her death in February.
The soul-singer who passed away a night before Grammy’s this year has succeeded in registering her name into the Guinness World Records for Most Simultaneous Hits on the British singles chart by a solo female.
Houston died in a suite at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles on 11 February 2012. Her fans flocked to buy her old catalogue soon after her death.
Houston is the second female artiste to receive this honour which was previously bestowed upon late singer Amy Winehouse following her death in 2011.
