MUMBAI: Bollywood playback singer Rahul Pandey who lent his voice to songs in the Saif Ali Khan and Illiana D’cruz starrer ‘Happy Ending’ as well as the Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty ‘Hero’ in the past, recently released a single ‘Aa Chalein’ on Zee Music.
The single was composed by Manish Ch, penned by Sanjeev Anand Jha, and sung by Rahul Pandey and Shivangi Bhayana. Programmed and mastered by Sandeep Mitra and Amit Yadav, the music video was released on 18 November 2016 on Zee Music Company.
Talking about it, Rahul said the song was made one and half years ago and they were not sure what to do with the song initially. He also said, the song was supposed to release on 20 November 2016, but it was pre-released on 18 November, without much fanfare.

“When I and Manish finally decided to record the song, we had to do it from scratch. It was sounding better once we added Shivangi’s vocals. When the director of the music video Vishal Chaturvedi came in the picture it was the most difficult part for me as I have gained a lot of weight and we couldn’t hold the shoot,” said Rahul.
Talking about the music video Rahul explained, “We had to shoot the whole video in just one day! We started 4 in the morning and ended everything by evening and there was just two hours break in the afternoon because of the scorching heat.”
Radioandmusic asked why Zee Music Company as there are so many other music labels in the industry.
“I didn’t approach any other music labels. For example, T-series creates larger than life music videos and we also had budget issues. Zee Music features and also promotes new artists, which was an advantage for us,” Pandey signs off.
