MUMBAI: The much awaited music launch of 2008 – the Akshay Kumar starrer Singh is Kinng was released on 26 June at a hotel in suburban Mumbai amid much fanfare.
The evening was ushered in by the film’s producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah, director Anees Bazmee, music director Pritam, and the star cast of the film – Katrina
Kaif, Suno Sood, Neha Dhupia, Javed Jaffery, Om Puri and Sudhanshu Pandey. However, it was red hot Salman Khan which stole the limelight.

The event was held at J W Marriot’s Enigma, which bore a houseful look on the evening, with photographers in arm combat to get a glimpse of the star cast.
The live performance by Azal, the Pakistani band who have given the remixed versions in the album left the crowd agape, with ‘once-more’ counts. Hard Kaur’s rap and Mika’s Singh is Kinng version were complete powerhouse performances.
Among the invited guests were Talaz and Bina Aziz, Pankaj and Fatima Udaas, JD Majethia, Deven Bhojani, Aatish Kapadia, Govind Nehlani, UTV CEO Siddhartha Roy Kapoor and others.
