MUMBAI: Multi-talented composer Sachin Gupta who rocked music charts with his pop-album ‘Doorie’ has bagged a coveted project with Y-films ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’.
Gupta has been enrolled to compose music and background score for the film. The album will feature five tracks depicting the peppy genre of the movie. For the first time, actor Ravi Kishan will render a track in a film. The tracks will be penned by lyricist Kunvar.
Speaking about the album, composer Sachin Gupta said, “It feels really great to be associated with Y-films. I am glad that Ashima (director) and Ashish Patil (producer) trusted me and offered me this project. The track matches the light –hearted genre of the movie and it’s quite peppy.”
‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ is a directorial debut of Ashima Chibber. The comedy flick is set against the backdrop of a loud Punjabi wedding in Chandigarh, starring model-turned-actor Saqib Saleem in the lead.
