MUMBAI: The Rock On gang of Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Ritesh Sidhwani and rock bands like Pentagram, Parikrama (with Saif Ali Khan), Pin Drop Violence, Dream Out Loud, Shaa’ir & Func, Rabbi, Kailasa and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will be getting together on 31 October for the Rock On For Humanity concert at MMRDA, Bandra-Kurla Complex to raise funds for a pediatric medical camp in Bihar.
Filmmaker and organizer Farhan Akhtar says, “As the name suggests, ‘Rock On for Humanity’ is an attempt to bridge the gap through the power of music. Ritesh, Arjun and I strongly believe that music is what binds us together. It’s a great opportunity to bring people under one roof to help the unfortunate. Numerous children have lost their homes, parents, and as human beings it’s our responsibility to make sure that they get all the love and care they deserve”.
“Children are always special and they make our lives even more special. I do hope with this effort of ours we are able to bring back the lost hope for these children who have been affected by this calamity. I would like to request each and every one to be part of this endeavor of ours” adds Ritesh Sidhwani, Director, Rock On.

Arjun Rampal adds, “My heart goes out for all those people who have lost everything in this untimely catastrophe, I can never imagine what those small children, who survived but lost their families in this incident are going through. ‘Rock On for Humanity’ is an effort from our side to bring a smile on these children’s faces and work towards a better future for them. In addition to all the artistes and bands, Hrithik Roshan, Shahrukh Khan, and Abhishek-Aishwarya Bachchan are also expected to be present for the concert.
