MUMBAI: After a stint of around a year, Red FM Mumbai station head Vidyut Patra has quit the organisation. Patra has now joined the Times Center for Learning as assistant vice president for the group’s latest foray into the education business.
Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Patra said, “Friday was my last day at Red FM and I joined Times Group yesterday. I had a great experience with Red FM as it is a great company with a clear brand identity.”
In his new role, Patra will be responsible for setting up of one of the verticals under the TCL umbrella. He will report to Times Centre of Learning president Deepak Lamba.
“This will be a very interesting opportunity for me as I will be heading a new vertical in the education space. It’s a company exploring newer avenues and it will be a good experience for me as well. Since we are building it from scratch, I am waiting for the business to move and am trying to get my team in place,” he added.
Lamba said, “Vidyut Patra’s extensive experience across various business domains would add immense value in successfully running and managing this new venture.”
Prior to Red FM, Patra was working with Viacom 18 MTV handling various responsibilities for MTV from past four years. He has also worked at INX Media and Star India Pvt Ltd.
