MUMBAI: My FM, the radio business housed under DB Corp has tuned in good results for Q4 FY 2013 and for the year ended 31 March 2013 as compared to FY 2012 (ended 31 March 2012).
Let’s take a look at the full year results first:
Revenues for the radio business are up to Rs 666.50 million as against Rs 554.82 million. EBIT for the period is at Rs 107.64 million as against Rs 17.04 million in the previous year.
Let’s take a look at the numbers for Q4 FY 2013 vs Q4 FY 2012
Revenues for its radio biz are up to Rs 182.68 million – a healthy jump of 25 per cent over Q4 FY 2012 revenues which stood at Rs 146.36 million.
Profit before tax, interest at Rs 39.89 million has leapfrogged by a large number over the previous corresponding Q4 2012 number of Rs 26.29 million.
The radio business’ EBIDTA for Q42013 stands at Rs 69 million as against Q4 2012 figures of Rs 52.4 million while its PAT is at Rs 42 million with a claimed margin of 23 per cent – a healthy increase of around 65 per cent over Q4 2012’s figure of Rs 25.5 million.
“The radio business has achieved PAT positive status in four years of launch – signifying the fastest PAT break even by any radio company in India. It continues to demonstrate good progression – reports 25 percent growth this quarter supported by a robust EBITDA growth of Rs 14 million in Q4 on YOY basis,” parent company said.
