MUMBAI: The country’s first fully professional Mumbai-based symphony orchestra will be performing a live event â€?Japan Tsunami Benefit Concert’ on Thursday, 2nd June at Tata Theatre, NCPA in Mumbai.
This is a benefit concert which is held for the relief of victims from the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck the northeast coast of Japan on March 11 this year and proceeds will go to the Indian Red Cross Society. There will also be an opportunity for people to make donations for the victims.
The concert includes gigs by noted musicians like Karl Jenkins, Edward Elgar, Henryk Wieniawski, David Popper, Nicolai von Wilm, Ryunosuke Akutagawa and others.
