MUMBAI: After celebrating its second anniversary recently, ArtistAloud.com will commemorate the heard and explored music of more than 200 artistes with the second season of ArtistAloud.com Awards.
The first phase of the Awards kick started earlier this month with nominees for Best Song, Best Female, Best Male and Best Group from each of these genres. Each week one genre was highlighted where voters could go and vote for their favorite Artiste (Male or Female), Group and Song from that category.
Based on voter’s choice in the first phase, the Top 5 has been shortlisted from each genre and will now be further voted down for the title. Until today, International artist DJ Miss Diamond is leading with maximum votes and has garnered over 1000 unique votes. Users can vote via the Internet, Voice Platform or SMS till 18 April.

The Awards celebrate the success of independent music with popular genres like Pop, Rock, Fusion, Alternative Rock and Global (Spiritual, Global, Light Music, Hindi Rap, Sufi, Country, Alternative Raga, and Club).
Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, ArtistAloud.com assistant vice-president Soumini Paul said, “ArtistAloud.com Awards have a democratic approach where consumer is the jury and decide the ultimate winners. Our logic behind the Awards was to create some large platforms for our artiste and let the consumer ultimately decide their worth. Unlike a gala event hosted by other Awards, the different thing about these Awards is that the entire voting process is digital and the winners will also be announced on the website only.”
The final winners of ‘ArtistAloud.com Awards’ will be announced from 20 April on the website.
Best Female: Miss Diamond DJ, Varsha, Suchitra Pillai, Joelene Dove, Rajnigandha Shekhawat
Best Male: Nishant Mudgal, Nickk, Anurag Dixit, Tamir Khan, Ruokuo Kense
Best Group: Alobo Naga and the Band, Abiogenesis, Eka, DNPB, Padhaai
Best Song: Sapna – Nishant Mudga, Beach Drums – Miss Diamond DJ, Return of the Sun – Abiogenesis, Dil Hi Dil Mein – Anurag Dixit, Janasheen – Nickk
