MUMBAI: Saregama released â€?Geetmala Ki Chhaon Mein’ (Vols. 11 – 15) on May 28, 2010. The compilation album features handpicked songs by veteran radio host Ameen Sayani.
At the launch, Sayani said, “In this pack, I have generously interspersed the hits of 1959 and ’60 with the voices of: Asha Parekh, Shahrukh Khan, Mahendra Kapoor, Sudha Malhotra, Meena Kumari, Shammi Kapoor, Mala Sinha, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Gulshan Bawra, Waheeda Rehman, Tanuja and Usha Khanna.”
After the success of previous compilations from this series, Saregama is offering an opportunity for listeners to become a part of the Geetmala story. There is an entry form inside the pack. And all you have to do is to fill it up, take a photo of yourself along with the three packs and write a few lines on why you like â€?Geetmala Ki Chhaon Mein’. Photo’s and comments of hundred winners will appear in Pack 4, i.e., Vols. 16–20.
