MUMBAI: Carrying out an aggressive outdoor promotion drive centered on its iconic characters Bade-Chhote, 9X Media Group has installed holographic X-sight screens at the domestic airport in Mumbai.
The holographic service provided by ‘India X-Sight’ is executed by UK-based agency Balfour Group. The screens feature the free-standing display units which give the illusion of holographic figures standing in their ‘goalpost’ frames which include 3D projection of a rotating cube. The cube display the logos of various 9X Media Group channels, including 9XM (a Bollywood music channel), 9XTashan (Punjabi music channel), 9XJhakaas (Marathi music channel), 9XJalwa (Hindi music channel), 9XM-UK and 9XO (international music channel).
Speaking with Radioandmusic.com about the idea behind instituting holographic X-sight screens at the domestic airport, 9X Media VP marketing Kapil Sharma said, “This technology is a ideal for advertising our animated characters and logos as they come to life with this medium. Also it has been our constant endeavour to be innovative and entertaining – be it on-air with our content or on-ground with activations. We are amongst the first few brands to use this innovative technology developed in the UK and we’re confident that it will go down well with our current and potential viewers.”
Earlier, the network had arranged several innovative promotional drives centering on their iconic characters which include Summer Escape Carnival and Wall of Music. The network had also released Bade-Chhote jokes in comic strips form the Bakwaas Bandh Kar series across major restaurants.
