MUMBAI: “Gulshan Kumar lives on. We refuse to accept that he has left us and gone. And in our hearts and our work, he lives on. That is the reason why despite the music market not doing well, Bhushan Kumar still churns out hits. He is blessed by Gulshanji who lives on in his son,” said an emotional Sonu Nigam at the success party of his father Agam Kumar Nigam’s Woh Bewafa.
Hosted by lyricist Praveen Bharadwaj, composer Nikhil and Agam Kumar Nigam, the party saw Bhushan Kumar, singer Tulsi Kumar who has also lent her vocals to the album and director Divya Khosla Kumar join the celebrations. Cheering them on were actor Kapil Sharma, directors Sanjay Sharma and Sandy Higgins, Nikhil’s wife Neetu, Talat Aziz and Bina Aziz, Kamaal Khan among others.
Sonu had some quiet moments with his dad, even giving him that well-deserved peck on his cheek more than once, displaying afffection in public, soomething that Sonu is never seen to do otherwise. “He put his career on pause to get mine forward,” said an emotional Sonu. I am glad Gulshanji saw that from above and gave him the success that he so well deserved.”
