MUMBAI: Kick-starting its film festival with much gala, Radio Mirchi screened the legendary movie ‘Aradhana’ at DT cinemas, Delhi today. The celebratory affair was attended by celebrities such as Sharmila Tagore, and Ashim Samanta.
Released in 1969, “Aradhana” bagged the Filmfare ‘Best film of the year award’ and Sharmila Tagore won the Fimfare ‘Best Actress award’ for her role in the movie.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharmila Tagore says: “I am over overwhelmed with the initiative taken by Radio Mirchi. “Aradhana” is very close to my heart and its unique and heartwarming storyline will definitely strike the right cord with the audience”.
Additionally, lucky Mirchi listeners were ecstatic for having gotten the opportunity to experience the blockbuster romantic movie in its full splendor.
As part of the Total Filmy festival, Radio Mirchi will also screen genre-defining movies like Deewar, Maine Pyaar Kiya, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Dil Chahta Hain in the coming days
