MUMBAI: Lenovo, the Chinese multinational computer technology company launched a new smartphone called Lenovo S60, as a part of its S-series on Tuesday, 19 May.
The Lenovo S60 features a 5-inch HD IPS display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and is powered by a 64-bit 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and paired with 2GB RAM. The device includes inbuilt storage of 8GB and an expandable memory of 32GB via a microSD card.
The smartphone is equipped with a 13MP rear auto-focus camera with LED flash and has a 5MP fixed-focus front facing camera. The camera includes features like scene detection, face recognition, low light enhancement, Panorama, geo-tagging, burst shot, smile shot and HDR. The dual-SIM based smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Vibe 2.0 user interface. The company states that the device will be upgraded to Android Lollipop soon, but no time-frame has been announced.
In terms of connectivity, the Lenovo S60 includes 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth 4.0. The smartphone comes with a 2,150mAh battery which the company claims offers up to 17 hours of talk time and up to 240 hours of standby time on 3G networks.
The Lenovo S60 is priced at Rs 12,999 in India and will be available for purchase on the company’s brand store, as well as on e-commerce portals such as Flipkart and Amazon.
