Samsung strengthened its touch screen portfolio by announcing the launch of Samsung Star and Samsung Star 3G full touch screen phones in the Indian market. Boasting compact design and intuitive usability, the products answer today’s customer needs for full touch phones at more affordable price points. Samsung Star, which leads the Company’s affordable touch screen portfolio, represents the first touch screen phone that the Company is manufacturing at its state of the art, manufacturing facility at Noida.

Samsung Star (S5233)
Samsung Star comes with the latest multimedia features in a slim and compact body that measure a mere 11.9mm. Adopting a 7.63 cm WQVGA full-touch screen and Samsung’s TouchWiz User Interface with Mobile Widgets, the phone enables its users to enjoy their mobile easily and intuitively. Using Photo Contact,… users can call a contact by simply touching an appointed image. It also comes with a Stylus for the convenience of consumers.
The Samsung Star boasts various multimedia features including a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with smile recognition capability. It supports multi-format playback and DNSe for ease of use and better sound quality.
Samsung Star comes with a unique Gesture Control feature that allows the user to unlock the Touch screen or run an application just by giving a gesture command.
