MUMBAI: Week 24 did not prove to be too beneficial for Radio Mirchi as the station saw a dip in its listenership in Kolkata and Mumbai while maintaining the status quo in Bangalore and Delhi. Week 24 did not prove to be a gainer for last week’s star performer Fever FM as it lost points in Bangalore and Mumbai while gaining strides in Kolkata and maintaining its position in Delhi.
Bangalore- After slipping a few points in the past few weeks, Big FM gained its foothold in the city adding 0.3 points to its kitty and earning a market share of 19.8 per cent. Radio Mirchi stayed put at 17.4 per cent. Fever FM and Radio City both of which gained few slots last week lost 0.1 and 0.2 points respectively in week 24 to grab the fourth and fifth spot with a market share of 15.4 per cent and 12.4 per cent respectively. Radio One and Red FM also dropped off a few points to end the week at 8.6 and 8.3 per cent respectively.
Delhi- Leader Radio Mirchi maintained the status quo in the Capital notching up a market share of 24.9 per cent leaving behind its next competitor Fever FM at 18.9 per cent. AIR FM Gold gained 0.2 points shaving off 17.5 per cent from the total pie. Red FM saw a dip in the numbers losing 0.2 points to grab 9.4 per cent of the market. Radio City saw a surge in its listenership as it acquired 0.2 points followed by Big FM which also added 0.1 points to its share taking home 7.1 per cent of the market. Radio One and Meow FM both saw a drop in the numbers as they lost 0.1 and 0.5 points.

Kolkata- In week 24 both the top two stations Radio Mirchi and Big FM lost considerable strides losing a massive 0.6 and 0.4 points to take home a market share of 20.1 and 17.5 per cent respectively. Friends FM which had lost few points last week saw a surge in listenership in week 24 earning 0.4 points and taking away 11.6 per cent of the listenership. Amar FM followed next at 10.8 per cent. Red FM stayed flat at 8.5 per cent while Fever FM gained 0.2 points.
Mumbai- Listenership did not fare too well in the city in week 24. Radio Mirchi also saw a drop in its listenership in Mumbai as well. The station lost 0.2 points to end with a share of 17 per cent. Red FM also lost 0.1 points. Radio City, Big FM and AIR FM Gold all were not impacted at all with numbers of 13.2, 11.6 and 11.3 per cent respectively. Fever FM lost 0.1 points while Radio One lost a hefty 0.4 points this week.
