MUMBAI: Big FM slipped marginally in Bangalore but still held on its lead, depriving Mirchi again of the opportunity to reign across all the four markets where RAM operates, in week 34.
All India Radio’s Gold station stayed at third place in Mumbai and Delhi, giving the rest of the private FM stations a run for their money.
Bangalore: Big FM slipped 0.6 percentage points in week 34 to end with a market share of 19.9 per cent, keeping its lead over Mirchi, which in spite of gaining 0.5 percentage points this week, kept at a share of 15.9 per cent Fever came a close third with a share of 15.7 per cent, having gained 0.4 points during the week. AIR’s FM Rainbow kept at fourth place despite having lost 0.3 points, with a share of 11.8 per cent. Radio City, SFM, Radio One followed.

Delhi: Mirchi continued its strong position in Delhi with a share of 26.2 per cent, having gained 0.2 percentage points during the week. Fever, which gained an impressive 2.2 points, stayed a distant second with a share of 21.5 per cent. AIR’s FM Gold lost 1.1 points but stayed at third position with a share of 14.5 per cent. Red FM, Radio City, Radio One and Big FM followed, in that order.
Kolkata: Big FM, that claims leadership in the SEC AB in Kolkata, had to be content with second position in the 12 plus category in the general universe Mirchi consolidated its leadership gaining 0.9 points, ending with a share of 19.5 per cent, while Big FM lost 0.8 points, ending with a share of 16.8 per cent. Friends continued at third position, losing 0.8 points during the week and contending with a share of 13.5 per cent. Aamar gained 0.4 per cent, but stayed at fourth position with a share of 10.7 per cent. Red, Meow, Fever and Radio One followed, in that order.
Mumbai: Both Red FM and Mirchi made efforts to outdo each other in the commercial capital of the country but Mirchi stayed ahead of the game with a share of 19.1 per cent, gaining 0.2 points in the week. Red FM gained 0.9 percentage points, but stayed at a share of 15.9 per cent. AIR’s FM Gold made strides gaining 1.1 percentage points, ending the week with a share of 13.6 per cent. Radio City, Fever, Big FM and Radio One followed.
