The contemporary expressions of music in India show diverse influences from Indian art music, Afro-cuban, Middle-eastern, Electronica and others.
Shaastriya Sonic Band is initiated by Faizan Hussain, the grandson of the legendary tabla maestro, Alla Rakha. Trained by his eminent family members, Hussain has collaborated with many world music artistes, provided scores for various events and played for Hindi and Tamil films.
The other members of the group are: Gautam Sharma and Khwab. The group will present a Fusion music recital with Aditi Bhagwat (vocals) and guest appearance by the percussion maestro Taufiq Qureshi.
