RADIUS (Delhi). Jazz, rock – a circle of unique mystical styles and colours

A circle of unique musical styles and colours that each member brings to complement the other. Veterans of many stage shows and live concerts coupled with years of training. Every member of Radius is highly accomplished musically and creatively, and they have come together to light the stage on fire with a brand of music and a level of professionalism hitherto unheard of.

Rishi Sachdev on vocals & guitars, Viresh Qazi on guitars, Sidhant Mathur on bass, Joshua Grant on the drums & Akshay on Rap Vocals have that serious determination and spunk backing up their talent. Each with a distinct style of playing and a great on stage chemistry! From ultra high-energy grooves to funk, rock and sensitive jazz styles, they play it all!

With varied styles and an enviable collection of experiences, it is only imperative that through their individuality a unique sound is born. While they have concentrated on a clear sound that is not spattered with unnecessary guitar distortions and more focused on the energy levels generated by clean and powerful riffs with groovy drumming, they have developed a wide repertoire of styles and themes from their self compositions to retro to jazz to classic to fusion and modern rock to even self-altered versions of old Hindi classics.

Radius has performed at some of most memorable events & biggest line ups in Live Music in 2006. Threshold Freedom of Music Festival, performing with other well known original artists. Yamaha Roxx at the Garden of Five Senses with Them Clones and Thermal and a Quarter. Crossroads SRCC Festival Pop Night as one of main acts with Mika, Just to name a few.

Their immediate plans are to play extensively around the country and establish a reputation based on their style and a quality of sound never experienced in the country before. They are also constantly experimenting with live electronic sounds to introduce other musical elements into their live shows. Radius the name finally says it all “encompassing all musical styles in a circle”.
