MUMBAI: ‘A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in the doctor’s book’– says an old Irish proverb! In today’s fast paced world where people deal with a lot of stress, ‘health’ is the first thing that gets neglected. Emphasizing the benefits of adopting a healthy lifestyle, FM Bole toh Radio City 91.1FM marked ‘World Health Day’ by organizing a ‘Walkathon’ & ‘Health Check-Up’ camps across the country. The activity was sponsored by Sunfeast Farmlite.
The activity started on air as Radio City RJs gave out health tips that make a huge difference to our health. Health related queries such as ‘Why should I eat fruits?’ ‘What is the best snack for children after school?’ ‘What is the ideal breakfast for working individuals?’ etc were addressed on air.
Radio City listeners across Mumbai, Delhi & Bangalore were invited to attend exclusive health camps that were arranged at various locations around the city. The health-check up was followed by a session with nutritionist who also suggested a diet plan based on their need! Hundreds of listeners from Hyderabad, Vizag, Coimbatore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Surat, Pune, Jaipur, Lucknow, Nagpur& Ahmedanagar participated in a unique ‘Walkathon’ with leading RJs of Radio City.
