ole and Timbaland win three ASCAP Pop Music Awards

MUMBAI: ole and ole songwriter Timbaland were honored with three awards at the 31st annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards in Los Angeles. His tracks “Mirrors” and “Suit and Tie,” which both appeared on Justin Timberlake’s best-selling album The 20/20 Experience, and “Holy Grail,” which appeared on Jay Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail and features Timberlake, were all recognized at the ceremony as among ASCAP’s most-played pop songs of 2013. “Mirrors” also shares a co-writing credit with Garland “Sebastian” Mosley, who ole publishes through its co-venture with Timberland, ole – Bluestone.

Timbaland is no stranger to the ASCAP Pop Music Awards, earning their songwriter of the Year honor in 2008 for his contributions to nine hit tracks. ole began to work with Timbaland in September 2012, when the company acquired his music publishing catalog and started a multi-year worldwide publishing administration deal. He then worked on the Timberlake and Jay-Z albums, as well as co-writing five tracks for Beyoncé’s surprise self-titled release at the end of 2013. He is currently focused on polishing tracks for his own album, Textbook Timbo, for release later in 2014. Timbaland was also the lead producer on the upcoming Michael Jackson album, the first release of new studio material from the late King of Pop since 2001.
