Poetry, music and dance reached newer and greater heights in the later Mughal period. The evening seeks to capture part of the romantic nostalgia evoked through the poetries of Ghalib, Mir and Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last Mughal Emperor of India and the evocative thumris through various nuances of Kathak style of dance that received patronage from select rulers and connoisseurs of that era.
