A promising vocalist of the younger generation, Gayatri Joshi has been trained by Arati Ankalikar Tikekar of the Agra Jaipur gharana. Joshi holds a Sangeet Alankar degree from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharv Mahavidyalaya and a MA in Music from Pune University. A gold medalist at the National Youth Festival, she has also won NCPA’s scholarship in 2009.
Suddhashil Chatterjee, a disciple of Shivkumar Sharma, is a talented santoor player of the younger generation. Chatterjee received his initial training in vocal music from Samaresh Chaudhury, and was initiated into santoor by Tejendra Narayan Majumder of the Maihar-Senia gharana. Chatterjee has performed in various music festivals in India and overseas.
