CRAM, an ‘energetic and groovy quartet with a characteristically frayed and playful, bold and progressive edge’, was initiated in 2005 when guitarist Corrie van Binsber-gen invited three other musicians to join forces for a performance at the Rencontres Musicales de Rabat in Morocco. Binsbergen is one of the most prominent players in the Dutch Jazz scene. The music CRAM played turned out to be so solid and balanced that the members decided to continue their co-operation.
In 2007, CRAM played at the prestigious North Sea Jazz Festival. In 2008, the group released its first CD For a dog, a strong, modern jazz improvised album which con-tained a lot of rhythm changes and strong dy-namics.
