MUMBAI: Disney classic Mary Poppins was released 50 years ago this year, and BBC Proms is celebrating with a sing-along Mary Poppins medley at the Last Night of the Proms and Proms in the Park events on Saturday 13 September around the UK.
Announced by Elaine Paige on her weekly BBC Radio 2 show (Sunday, 1pm-3pm), BBC Proms is asking the nation to join the party and come together to sing Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from Mary Poppins in the first ever Last Night of the Proms virtual choir.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from Mary Poppins, in the first ever Last Night of the Proms virtual choir, as announced by Elaine Paige on her weekly BBC Radio 2 show (Sunday, 1pm-3pm),To take part, you need to record a video of yourself singing Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and send it to the BBC Proms using the details provided on the BBC website by Sunday 31 August. The videos will be edited together to create a virtual choir and the finished results will be revealed online and in the parks around the UK during the Last Night Of The Proms on Saturday 13 September.
No high-tech camera skills are necessary, as videos can be recorded on computers, smartphones or tablets. Videos can be recorded individually or in group, and people are encouraged to be as creative as possible.
