The Aristocrats dwell in Mumbai, end tour in Bengaluru

MUMBAI: The Aristocrats, the instrumental trio band comprising guitarist Guthrie Govan, bassist Bryan Bellar and drummer Marco Minnemann created a revolutionary music extravaganza in two gigs in Mumbai recently. It was definitely a privilege to hear them.

Radioandmusic.com got a special opportunity to encounter the trio’s hard-hitting rock set. Together on stage, three of the biggest global musicians (we can say magicians) took us on an expedition across the borders of genres, to an experience where we have never been before!

It’s not just fusion. It’s not just shredding. Their famous tracks such as ‘Blues Fuckers’, ‘Gaping Head Wound’, ‘Sweaty Knockers’, and ‘Wonderful Slippery Thing’ were adequate to build the ‘Waves’ among the crowd. Having said that, frankly, the world famous venue for all live music, Hard Rock Cafe, Andheri disappointed us this time for the band that was ideally to perform at the venue for two performed just for an hour. There is no doubt about the fact that the venue is first-rate, but they couldn’t convince The Aristocrats to perform longer leaving the fans devastated. The eminent technical band was unable to execute the whole act because of the humid climate. We just wish HRC would have done something to fix it for them. Maybe glasses of ice-cold drinks could have sealed the gig or a colder atmosphere.

On 16 September at Sitara Studio, again the supergroup blew the audiences and fans with preternatural band chemistry. That was quite a gig and a night along with ‘Bad Asteroid’ and ‘Culture Clash’ followed by Pink Floyd’s ‘Another Brick in the Wall’ as ‘India has the most intense and loudest crowd,’ said the bassist Bryan Bellar. Also, the drum solo by one of the finest drummers in the world Marco Minnemann exactly resembled ‘Ohhhh Noooo’!

After an incredible show in Kolkata on 12 September, hosted by THE Festival, the ‘wonder’ band performed on the trot in Mumbai on 12 September in Hard Rock Cafe and on 16 at Sitara Studio, Mumbai hosted by The Humming Tree, HRC India, and Up Your Arts.

The Humming Tree has been in high spirits to tour The Aristocrats in India. They hosted the closing show of The Aristocrats India Tour 2016 yesterday 19 September 2016 in Bengaluru. Though, they have changed the venue from The Humming Tree to Indiranagar Club, prior to the event, the closing show was kickass with over 1100 music enthusiasts. They literally wowed the audience beyond their dreams in Bengaluru.

Speaking about it, the cutting-edge drummer Marco Minnemann shared, “The Delhi show was good, very rowdy audience though. Now yesterday Bangalore was really awesome. So many people and just a great end of this India tour.”

This morning, the band shared this on its social media page.
