Robinhood Pandey ko nahi dekha to kya dekha! Though Sallu has shed his muscles to resemble a pakka paunchy Bihari cop, you dare not miss his bare-bodied fight in the film.
Macho man of Bollywood and sizzling lass Sonakshi Sinha will be seen opposite each other in â€?Dabangg’, produced by Arbaaz Khan. It recreates the action-packed â€?Wanted’ but this time it deals with illicit practices in UP and Bihar and points out the loopholes in the system
The soundtrack of the movie is desi dhinchak which some tazaa mazaa in it
â€?Tere Mast Mast Do Nain’ is a track which is grateful to those killing eyes that are too shy to express love. Video of the song catches Sallu in his natkhat avatar dying for that one jhalak of Sonakshi. Do not overlook Sallu’s â€?kaala chashma’ with hearts sparkling on them. Rahat Fatah Ali Khan is in his original ishtyle and is seen juggling with high and low tones The song gets a thumbs up from us. Take a listen.
This track has 2 other versions – the duet with Shreya Ghoshal joining in and the remix version. All the versions are enjoyable on the whole. Shreya’s silken voice brings alive the element of romance in the track
After Bipasha’s â€?Beedi Jalai Le’ and Shilpa Shetty’s â€?Mein Aayi Hoon UP, Bihar Lootne’, there is one more item song coming your way with Indian beats and dhol. Malaika’s latkas and jhatkas are sure to make all Bihari babu’s whistle out of thrill. Lyricist Jalees Sherwani ki kya tarif karen. The words and expressions used in the song say it all. Munni badnaam hui, darling tere liye, munni ke gaal gulaabee, nayan sharaabee, chaal nabaabee re, re zandu bam hui, darling tere liye…………. Shilpa si figure, Bebo si ada…’ wah wah! Mamta Sharma and Aishwarya are behind the mic and hope their Zandu balm works well for your headache. The remix adaptation is not very different, just a little fast-paced.
â€?Chori Kiya Re Jiya’ is a very mushy track. Sonu Niigaam and sugary Sherya Ghoshal can very subtly put you to a 4.49 minute power nap. Press the â€?play’ button and you are off to your â€?romeo-juliet’ dreamland. This one seems like a mix of all those typical love songs sung by the pair Alka-Udit or the Alka-Sanu jodi. Nothing exceptional with the lyrics but Sajid-Wajid could have definitely done a better job with the tune of the song
Listen to â€?Hud Hud Dabaang’ and you’ll say â€?Kahin to suna hai yeh gana’. It’s a blatant replica of Omkara’s title track. It’s none other than Sukhwinder Singh roaring throughout the song and Wajid supporting him, giving an identical flavour to the song. You can literally imagine Sallu, completely into his character, marching towards you with a banduk in his hand flinging his Bhojpuri slang. The song matches quite well with the setting of the film. Chulbul Pandey ki Jai Ho!
â€?Humka Peena Hai’ is a mujra-esque song that will make you groove and shout aloud. Instrumentation is mostly tablas and dholak. This track is crooned by Wajid, Master Saleem and Shabaab Sabri. The remix of this track is not too bad as well.
Lastly, Dabaang’s fuming theme track starts with somber hard-hitting music but takes off only after Salman’s jhakaas dialogues. It brings together various sounds and music. You can hear guns shooting and a bit of western and latino music thrown in the background Salman is at his best.
â€?Hum yahan ke Robinhood hai, Robinhood Pandey….’ with dialogues like these and many more, you can expect a fun-filled ride led by Salman and his team.
Dabangg soundrtacks are quite on-the-face and situational with loud and cheesy lyrics but it might work well with the masses.
