MUMBAI: Samsung Electronics launched its latest smartphones- Galaxy J5 and J7 in India on 27 July, and the devices are exclusively available on Flipkart. Both, the J5 and J7, are dual sim phones and are available in Black, Golden and White.
The Galaxy J5 has a 5 inches HD sAMOLED with the resolution of 720×1280 pixels and has a TFT Display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz core Snapdragon 410 Processor, coupled with 1.5 GBRAM. With an internal memory of 16 GB, storage space can be further expanded up to 128GB using a MicroSD Card. The J5 has a 2600mAh battery for enhanced performance and a pixel density of 294 ppi.
The Galaxy J7 has a larger display of 5.5 inches and sAMOLED display with the same resolution. The internal storage of the phone is 16GB, which can be further expanded to 128 GB. The device is powered by 1.5 GHz octa-core Exynos 7580 SoC. It offers pixel density that can go up to 267 ppi, and is equipped with a 3000mAh battery.
Both, the Galaxy J5 and J7, run on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The smartphones feature a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, and are equipped with a 5 megapixel front camera. The front camera has an aperture of f/1.9 and the auto-focus capabilities. The front-facing snapper is enriched by an 85-degree wide-angle lens, which allows users to take better selfies. Both devices also enable full HD video recording with a resolution of 1080 at 30 frames per second. The Galaxy J5 and J7 support 4G ensuring optimum connectivity. The former weighs around 149 grams, while the latter weighs 171 grams.
The Galaxy J5 is priced at Rs 11,999, and the Galaxy J7 is priced at Rs 14,999.
