MUMBAI: Known for championing the sounds of alternative music in India, Wild City – an online music platform and co-founders of the arts and music festival Magnetic Fields in Rajasthan – will present a showcase at Alchemy, a festival of UK and South Asian arts, at the Southbank Centre in London that will rightfully reflect India’s growing interest in alternative culture.
Alchemy is Southbank Centre’s annual festival and presents exciting collaborations and new work from both emerging and legendary artists, across art forms – dance, music, theatre, design, comedy and literature – as well as a stimulating programme of workshops, book clubs, talks and debates.

The showcase titled ‘Wild City Presents: Alternative India’ will feature Bangalore-based trip hop duo Sulk Station, Mumbai-based singer-songwriter Nicholson and modern electronica producer Curtain Blue from Delhi. The three artists will perform at Southbank Centre in London on May 20.
2015 will also see the popular festival of South Asian culture tour areas of the UK and will be staged in Scotland for the first time. The Wild City showcase will travel to Glasgow for a show on May 23.
