MUMBAI: Castle With No Light is the debut EP by Teddy, who is one of the pioneers blending the influences of rock and hip hop together. Over the four tracks of the project, Teddy delivers an emotional chronicle of heartbreak, drugs, and youth. The raw production, which was done entirely by Smokeasac, pairs strongly with the intensity of Teddy’s lyrics. With this project, Teddy solidifies himself as the voice of the wasted youth.
Teddy’s music is the definition of the new sound, and it is unlike any other sound in the hip-hop/rap world. With the release of the Castle With No Light EP, he truly establishes himself as a pioneer in the culture. His vocals are tasteful and embrace a perfectly harmonious mix of singing and rapping.
Castle With No Light isn’t the first big music release for Teddy. After the unexpected loss of Lil Peep in late 2017, Teddy unveiled his collaboration track with the late rapper in February 2018 entitled Dreams and Nightmares, as a way to pay homage after the passing of both his friend and musical collaborator.
