MUMBAI: Russian duo Matisse and Sadko have been on another immense run of form recently, with smash singles Grizzly, Built For Us, Light Me Up and Mystery dominating dance floors worldwide all summer long. They keep their purple patch rolling with another monstrous new single here for STMPD RCRDS in the form of Saga.
Their knack for crafting memorable, larger-than-life melody shines through brightly once again on this new epic, with a soaring lead refrain whose emotion and drama recalls classic Hollywood film scores. They more than do justice to the majesty of this riff, sending it into the stratosphere with a monstrous, drawn-out break down and build, with dramatic electro house vibes in the intro and a big room feel throughout.
It’s been a huge summer of gigs for this talented duo, with show-stopping sets at Tomorrowland, at Balaton Sound on the STMPD RCRDS stage, at Ushuaïa Ibiza with Martin Garrix, at Sensation Thailand and at festivals and clubs in Sweden, Estonia, Italy, Croatia and Israel.
