MUMBAI: Legendary UK Garage duo Original Dodger (previously known as Artful Dodger) is back with their first EP since reuniting, featuring two new singles, Bubblin and Give You Up feat. IDA.
With the lead single, Bubblin revealed late last month and offering a vibrant and dynamic floor-thumping tone, the production is joined by Give You Up, which features the rich vocal delivery of Norwegian songstress, IDA. Fresh from writing with Dua Lipa and Mabel, IDA was first discovered in her hometown Oslo and has quickly garnered an impressive reputation as one of the industry’s fastest rising singer/songwriters. Both releases are joined by club-ready reworks, showcasing Original Dodger’s diverse taste and the pair’s signature garage sound.
Serving as a follow-up to the duo’s 2017 release Find Space featuring Shakka, the track was supported by MistaJam as his Jam Hot on BBC Radio 1 whilst the duo are best known for pioneering the UKG scene and securing huge crossover success. Helping launch the career of global superstar Craig David and influencing the likes of The Streets, Jack Garrett, Ed Sheeran amongst many others. Original Dodger’s sound echoes tones of the genre’s golden era during the tail end of the 90’s and the start of the 21 century.
