MUMBAI: International hip-hop/electro trio, No Wyld, released their Columbia Records debut album ‘Nomads’ on 25 November 2016.
With No Wyld’s diverse cultural, racial, and religious background, the group releases ‘Nomads’ in hopes of reaching a divided nation after November’s controversial U.S presidential election. No Wyld reflects and represents the dissatisfaction and optimism of their generation with the current state of affairs.
The sound and culture of hip hop have historically been regionalized and represented through an artist’s city and hometown affiliation. No Wyld serves as a turning point in this tradition. The now Brooklyn based trio originally met in New Zealand and have learned to embrace their lack of a home. Their debut album ‘Nomads’ explores the concept of belonging, their nomadic upbringings, and the often turbulent journey to triumph.
