Hungama.com Chart-toppers 2014 is based on trends, both streaming and downloads, along with songs’ popularity and number of likes for music released in 2014.
The Hindi music scene is dominated by Bollywood hits, where India’s favorite soulful singer Arijit Singh is in the number one position as the Most Popular Male Singer of 2014 with chartbusters like Manwa Laage from Happy New Year and Aaj Phir from Hate Story 2. The Most Popular Music Director (Duo) has been Vishal-Shekhar with hits like Happy New Year and Bang Bang to their credit; and Shreya Ghosal’s first position among Most Popular Female Singers remains intact with hit numbers like Hangover from Kick and Manwa Laage from Happy New Year in her kitty.
The Top 10 Most Popular Songs of 2014 include Galliyan, Desi Kalakaar, Manali Trance, Tu Meri, Jumme Ki Raat, India Waale, Dance Basanti, Manwa Laage, Baby Doll and Alcoholic; where the Happy New Year and Shaukeens albums have bagged two positions each. Galliyan being the Most Popular Song of 2014 from Ek Villain, while Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year and Yo Yo Honey Singh’s Desi Kalakaar with multiple entries to their credit are the two Most Popular Albums of 2014.
