This year G-Shock Bangalore Open Air will feature one of its most diverse line-ups with American death metal legends Suffocations headlining the event along with Norwegian black metal band stalwarts Abbath, with other bands from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Nepal rounding up the line-up.

The festival has also roped in some of the biggest names in the sponsorship game in order to give the audience bang for their buck. Festival attendees can certainly look forward to a day of top-notch music that caters to a wide range of music tastes, ultimately ensuring that there’s something for everyone.

And with rock lovers flying in from all over the world and tickets selling at an increasingly rapid pace as the festival draws closer, this promises to be one of the most memorable musical events of the year.

So, if you’re looking for a festival that brings people together from all walks of life to celebrate the power of rock and heavy metal then there can be no better place to be than G-Shock Bangalore Open Air 2019.

Suffocation is an American death metal band formed in 1988 in Centereach, New York. The band consists of lead guitarist Terrance Hobbs, bassist Derek Boyer, rhythm guitarist Charlie Errigo, and drummer Eric Morotti. Suffocation rose to prominence of death metal and created a blueprint for the genre for the 1990s with their 1991 debut album Effigy of the Forgotten, and have released eight studio albums since formation. The band’s raw death metal style uses growled vocals with a downtuned guitar sound, fast and complex guitar riffs and drumming, open chord notes, breakdowns, and a sophisticated sense of songwriting.

Abbath is a Norwegian black metal band formed in 2015 by the legendary Immortal guitarist and vocalist Abbath Doom Occulta after departing from Immortal earlier in 2015. The band released their first album, Abbath, on 22 January 22 2016. Their appearance at Bangalore Open Air 2019 will mark their 1st show in the subcontinent and only their 2nd show ever in Asia since formation.

G-Shock Bangalore Open Air is the foremost rock music festival in India, showcasing the best of best when it comes to local and foreign music talent. Powered by the largest metal festival in the world, Wacken Open Air from Germany, the festival ensures that rock music lovers are treated to a musical experience of truly international standards.

Come on down this July and make it a night you’ll never forget.
