MUMBAI: The makers of ‘Hunterrr’ just launched the music video for the latest track from their film. The song, which is called ‘Ye Naa Gade’, is an original fun song written by Vijay Maurya and composed by Khamosh Shah and sung by eminent Marathi singers like Anand Shinde and Vaishali Made.
Anand Shinde, who is one of the stalwarts of the Marathi film and music fraternity, had a lot of fun recording for this song, and praises Khamosh for his music sense. Vaishali Made, who has sung first time for a Hindi film, also loves the entire music of the film.
Khamosh Shah, the composer, talks about the experience of coming up with this catchy song. He says, “There is a scene in the film wherein a couple of friends have a house party. The Director, Harsh was keen to have a Marathi dance number as the film has a Marathi milieu. The song needed to be raunchy and high energy to go with the crazy dancing moves in the scene. I had the hook line ye yeyena ye naagade in my mind and sang that…and that’s how we cracked the song”

Vijay Maurya then wrote the whole song with really funny lyrics in a story form wherein a rich debauched head of the village wants to spend some cozy moments with his beloved at his farmhouse but is really quite a pipsqueak who wants the whole rendezvous to be discreet.
Harshavardhan Kulkarni excitedly adds, “I have grown up with Marathi songs, and thus wanted to have a hardcore fun original Marathi song in my film too. And then when Khamosh and Vijay came up with Ye Naa Gade for the situation, we just loved it”.
Sai Tamhankar, unable to contain her excitement adds, “When it comes to ‘Hunterrr’ everything has to be unique and whacky, and this song is no exception. Vijay has written it so damn well and the song makes you groove the moment you start listening to it. Love this song specially because its in Marathi!!”
Radhika Apte too absolutely loved the energy of the song. She says, “I love the energy of the song and the composition especially. We had a lot of fun shooting the video, and hope that the audience will love listening to the song”.
‘Hunterrr’ is a coming of age film written and directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, the film features Gulshan Devaiah, Radhika Apte and Sai Tamhankar in lead roles. Hunterrr is scheduled for release on 20th March 2015.
