MUMBAI: Bass Camp Festival, India’s first and only bass-heavy electronic music festival, returns this month with a hugely exciting headlining act, global bass duo Symbiz Sound. The Berlin-based, Korean-German brothers, Buddysym and ChrisImbiss are among the most entertaining live global bass acts around, and it is their on-stage antics coupled with their incredibly versatile and innovative sound, that has made them one of the rising stars of the European dubstep scene. Symbiz Sound released their debut album, OneFourFive, in May last year to much acclaim, and followed it up with the release of OneFourFive remixed earlier this year. The music video for their latest single Yeeruh – a global anthem that has been setting dance floors on fire – was released in June this year and documents their travels around the world.
The duo have toured India on two previous occasions – Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Pune in 2012, and a multi-city tour last year – but return this time for a five-city tour with an addition to their line-up, longtime collaborator Zhi MC. Bass Camp Festival kicks off in Mumbai on the 17th of October, followed by stops in Pune, Delhi, Bangalore and, finally, Nepal. Symbiz Sound will be supported by some of the most exciting producers in India, including SickFlip, OX7GEN, EZ Riser, Su Real and Tarqeeb. Bass Camp Festival is organised by Krunk, a company that has pioneered the bass music movement in India for the last five years.
