MUMBAI: Croydon born Asha burst onto the London scene as one of the most promising new voices in the industry with support for the young singer on all major underground stations from Rinse to Reprezent. Her first release We Can Do This saw her grab heavyweight online acclaim from the likes of Pigeons and Planes, The 405, whilst quickly breaking into the Hype Machine top ten.
Support broadened and her next two singles Chapters and Record Straight were premiered by Pigeons and Planes including The FADER respectively, with the latter seeing her grab Song of the Week at Radio 1Xtra, supported from the likes of DJ Target and Trevor Nelson, who both felt Asha’s strength and charisma stood her out as one of the strongest emerging artists in the city.
Then life got in the way and Asha went into a brief hiatus, working a string of jobs whilst continuing to hone her music. Now the young artist returns with her long awaited new single Say My Name which is an instant, effortless vindication and return to the levels of talent Asha was creating such as buzz with.

Speaking on the track Asha states, “Say My Name is about a new love I’ve found and had in my life for two years now, it represents his power and strength and the unconditional love he seems to have for me. You don’t always have to go looking for love, sometimes it just makes its way to you on a night out.”
