MUMBAI: Disney India’s presentation of the timeless classic ‘Beauty and the Beast’ has just got grander with superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s association.
The musical based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, will see over 100 of the best musical theater performers from India and will leave no stone unturned to bring the stage to life. But what will make this grander is senior Bachchan’s voice as he has been roped in to record the prologue to the show.
Confirming the same Bachchan said “I am very happy to be part of this pioneering effort to advance a new and unexplored format of entertainment in India.”

The other cast members include Bugs Bhargava as Cogsworth, Brian Tellis as Lumiere, Meher Mistry as Belle, Edwin Joseph as Beast.
The ‘Beauty and the Beast’ musical will be completely developed in India, while retaining the original script and memorable music of the Broadway show. The production will be in English at 130 minutes in duration, with select shows across Mumbai and Delhi from October to December 2015.
