Leather puppet show by Chitrakari
On the occasion of Children’s Day, we present Atharva (6 years) who was initiated in to the art of tabla playing at the tender age of 4 by Sunil Shelar. Within a short span he has performed at many places and won several accolades.
His tabla solo will be followed by a puppet show presented by Chitrakari, a group of artistes from Andhra Pradesh, who are hereditary puppeteers dealing with leather puppets. They will present some stories from Sunderkand (Ramayan) with life size puppets accompanied by music.
