BFlat presents Delhi-based Blues/Funk/Soul band, Purple Jays, who will perform a mix of covers and original tunes. They are a 6-member Blues/Funk/Soul band, set to launch their debut album.
Led by vocalists Satyapriyo Das and Carnatic + Hindustani musically trained Mithila Kanugo, they share a common love for great melodies and eclectic sound.
The Early set will be performed by local experimental funk, soul and jazz-rock trio, RiOT. These musicians perform as well as teach music in Bangalore. Although new to the performance scene in the city, having only launched their project early this year, the trio has a surprisingly mature and stylish sound, heavily influenced by modern jazz-soul bands such as Hiatus Kaiyote, Steven Wilson, The Aristocrats, Victor Wooten, Vital Tech Tones, Mark Guiliana, Nerve, Hiromi Uehara, Drew of the Drew.
