Su Real, the DJ / producer synonymous with Trap, Hip Hop and urban dance music in India, is back withTwerkistan.
TWERKISTAN: Twerkistan is a collection of singles that coalesce into a cohesive combat unit. Each track is as relentless as Su Real’s DJ sets and live performances.
Collaborators on the album include a diverse range of Indian talent. One of the strongest rock & roll voices in India, Tanya Nambiar sings on title-track Twerkistan and Soldiers. Vocalists like General Zooz (Reggae Rajahs), P-Man and Charles Dickenson (Low Rhyderz)drop raps respectively on Soldiers, Fitness Pump and Pakis In Paris. Bass music kingpins Mr. Doss and Ritviz each collaborate with Su Real on the music for Pagal and Turn Up respectively. Karma, Delhi’s veteran DJ to deliver two Hinglish club bangers JhookGyal and Thuggee. Collaborating on the lyrics, even Su Real helms the vocal duties himself on Twerkistan, Fitness Pump, and Turn Up. Meanwhile, Malaysia-based Ravinderjit Singh of Diplomats of Drum contributes percussion to Turban Shake and Rohan Kurukshetra (PCRC) contributes vocal talents for Rave Bust. Finally New Zealand-based Jatin Puri (Pippin) is responsible for mastering duties.

Su Real’s DJ sets surprise with seamless slides from modern hits to yesterday’s classics. Su Real stays on top of latest nano-genres in global bass (Trap, Twerk, Moombahton, Kuduro, Jumpstyle, etc.), blending them into the entire history of recorded dance music – hip-hop, dancehall, R&B, house, techno, jungle, and so on. As a producer, he melds these varied extracts with doses of desi masala like folk instrumentation and retro Bollywood vocals.
Su Real’s official releases are accumulating into a veritable catalog. From The Grind E.P. (2013) to Trapistan L.P. (2014) to Brown Folks E.P. (2015) to Twerkistan L.P. (2016), Su Real demonstrates an artistic development that shows no signs of slowing down. After signing with Krunk for artist management and booking in 2014, Su Real established himself as a fixture on the domestic circuit with a non-stop touring schedule all over India. He has shared the stage with a virtual who’s who of dance music today: Skrillex, Major Lazer, Nucleya, Yellow Claw, Borgore, Noisia, Flux Pavillion, Pretty Lights, Michal Menert, AloWala, Humble the Poet, Julius Sylvest, Doc Daneeka, and many more. Su Real has performed at Sunburn (Goa 2014 & 2015), NH7 Weekender (Pune, Bangalore, Calcutta and Delhi), MTV Bloc Party (Mumbai), VH1 Supersonic Arcade (Delhi), Worli Festival (Mumbai), and India Bike Week (Goa) amongst others.
Mr. Doss:He is an electronic music producer who in the past has been the guy behind the scenes producing music for Manasi Scott, Shefali Alvarez, Ishq Bector, Amber Noel Bonham and many others. His collaboration with Manasi Scott ‘High’ charted in the top 100 on Beatport, the premier portal for DJs all over the world. Mr. Doss’ remixes have been released on international labels Dirt Lies, Audio and Digital Lab Records.
Rohit P-Man Pereira: ViceVersa is a hip hop – bass/ live electronica project started by Bangalore based music producer Manas Ullas, Mumbai based musicians Rohit Pereira aka P-Man and Sidd Coutto known for their high-energy sets and crusades for fun.
ViceVersa has been performing consistently in the club and festival circuit across country. Their track ‘Celebration’ from the second EP Subchronicles is being featured as the theme song on the Vh1 TV show Vh1 Music Diaries, a show hosted by P-Man.
