Catch all the action at #501Friday, where music meets style. The second edition of the season takes place at antisocial featuring the all-star line-up of Sandunes, DJ MoCity and Joe Kay & The Whoolgian for Soulection.
Sandunes- She is known for her diverse blend of electronica which combines jazz rooted, eclectic sensibilities with progressive electronic elements. Her upbringing as a pianist and keyboard player allows her to create emotive beds of sound pertaining to an indie electronica/dance music space – a fusion of London inspired ingredients tied together with a unique South Asian feel.
DJ MoCity- Born in Baghdad, raised in New Delhi, and now based in Dubai, Mohammed Uraibi Abood (aka DJ MoCity) is a music entrepreneur and DJ with a passion for authentic music from all around the world. In 2009, he founded and self-managed Reggae Rajahs (India’s first reggae sound system) into national prominence. The Future and Imported Goods, which set the benchmark for club events in India at the time. He was then invited to create and curate stages for major festivals in 2012, such as NH7 Weekender (20,000 attendees) and Sunburn Festival (50,000 attendees). Since 2015, he has also been a booking agent for Dubai-based OHM Events.
Joe Kay & The Whooligan for Soulection- Joe Kay is the co-founder of Soulection, as well as host of Soulection Radio and an active DJ in the LA music community. As Head of A&R for Soulection, Joe oversees 20+ artists while always digging for the timeless “Sound Of Tomorrow.” He is currently the host of Soulection Radio on Apple Beats 1 Radio.
Julio Galvez aka “The Whooligan” is the Director of Worldwide Bookings and Strategic Partnerships for Soulection. The Whooligan is also a DJ on the roster with over 10+ years of performance experience. Since joining Soulection in the summer of 2013, Julio has executed and managed 15+ domestic and international tours, as well as countless one-off events, reaching over 100+ countries, for over 15 artists and DJs.
