Mystic Vibes is a cross-cultural band based in South India. Each musician is a solo artist in his own right, who has performed internationally at many festivals and stages. The band, comprising Hindustani tabla player/noted percussionist and student of Ustad Zakir Hussain, Muthu Kumar, with prolific Carnatic flautist Amith Nadig, well known jazz pianist/keyboardist Aman Mahajan and French jazz electric bass player extraordinaire, Mishko M’ba, creates a sound, rooted in Indian tradition, yet tinged with cultural and contemporary musical influences from around the world.
• Mystik Vibes has performed at a large and varied number of music venues, concert halls and private events across the country as well as IndiEarth XChange 2013, an annual trade event for independent music, film and media.
• In 2012, Mystik Vibes launched their debut CD, ‘The Shadow Tree’.
• The band’s second album is currently in production.
