My Side of the Story has a sound that can be best described as alternative rock with elements of various other genres like blues and soft rock fused in. Manu Vijayan’s keen interest is in exploring the sound of the guitar instrument than just using it as a mere part of the song writing process. The lyrical content of each song is a story, a personal anecdote. Vocal melodies, tied well with the lyrics, emotionally and musically, compliment the overall sound.
