Prof. Suneera Kasliwal is a well-known sitar player. She is a professor at Music Department of University of Delhi. She is a regular artist at AIR and Doordarshan. She has also performed at many music festivals and conferences in India and abroad.
Bihar Brothers – Sanjeev Jha and Manish Kumar
Bihar Brothers, as they are fondly called, were trained by eminent Gunecha Brothers in Dhrupad music. The brothers have earned their degrees in music and teach the students in whereabouts of Delhi. They are well-trained in the Dagar Gayaki of Dhrupad. The duo is the first Dhrupad Vocalists from Bihar to perform in the Dagar style of Dhrupad.
Dhrupad is a vocal genre in Hindustani classical music. It is said to be the oldest, still in use in that musical tradition. The term may denote the verse form of poetry or the style in which it is sung.
