MUMBAI: Irshwin Balvani, business head of music televison channels Zee Muzic and ETC Music, passed away, following cardiac arrest on Wednesday evening.
Balvani was the Business Head of Zee Music and ETC channels in the Zee fold, and also held the portfolio of Events for the company. Balvani had over 31 years of experience in the entertainment industry with leading media companies. Prior to joining Zee Network in September 2005, Balvani was with the Times Group for 13 years, working on group properties such as Planet M, Times Music, Times FM and Zoom Television. He also had stints with Sony Music and Gramaphone Co.
In November 2007, Balvani was given additional charge of Play TV.

Sources say Balvani was at work when he suffured a massive stroke, and was rushed to a nearby hospital. He succumbed to the stroke soon after.
