MUMBAI: Tabla virtuoso Ustad Zakir Hussain, ace percussionist Trilok Gurtu, mandolin maestro U Shrinivas and renowned flautist Rakesh Chaurasia will perform at a fusion concert â€?Restless Peace’ on 8th December at Shanmukhananda Auditorium, Mumbai.
Concert Organiser- Pancham Nishad Creatives director Shashi Vyas said, To sum-up, â€?Restless & Peace’ are the two sides of the same coin called body and mind. Both these words are complementary to each other. Their existence is interdependent. Restless Peace… is a musical effort to express this paradox in the life of almost every human being on the earth….
He further added, The choice of instruments like Flute, Tabla, Mandolin and Percussions is based on its individual potential to express the feel of these two states of mind – Restlessness and Peace. The compositions though are based on Indian Classical Music and will represent a curious blend of the music of east and west. It will be a rare treat to watch the stalwarts of Indian Classical Music come together on one platform to perform in all glory, as well as blend different rhythms….
