YouTube teams up with Rolling Stones

MUMBAI: Social video site Youtube will kick off its YouTube Living Legends programme with The Rolling Stones. The show invites global luminaries from politics, news, film, music, literature, humanitarianism and sports to talk freely with the YouTube community www.youtube.com/livinglegends.

People will be able to upload questions for Mick Jagger and Keith Richards who will then answer a selection of these directly. To kick off the launch, The Rolling Stones will take over the YouTube homepage, showcasing behind-the-scenes clips from their new Martin Scorsese-directed movie Shine A Light plus classic music videos, and never-before-seen interviews.
The Rolling Stones said. “We are honored to be the first Living Legends on YouTube — always good to be the first to kick open the virtual door! We’re looking forward to some really interesting questions from our fans.”

Youtube head of marketing and community Chris Di Cesare says, “Living Legends offers a unique opportunity for people to interact with famous luminaries and we’re excited for the YouTube community to have the chance to engage in a direct dialogue with one of the most legendary bands of all time. We are looking forward to seeing the conversation unfold.”
