MUMBAI: He wears a hat of a singer and a composer, but this time Yo Yo Honey Singh will be seen on the silverscreen, testing his acting skills for Himesh Reshammiya’s ‘Xpose’. The singer will be playing a negative role in the movie and is all set to make his acting debut. The 29 year old rapper has tried to imitate the legendary Pran, who is known for his negative roles in hits like ‘Milan’, ‘Madhumati’ and ‘Zanjeer’.
“My role in this film is like a cameo, I am coming as a debutant actor. It’s a very short role with only three to four scenes and it is a negative character,” said Yo Yo to reporters.
Citing the reasons for acting like Pran he said that since the film is set in the 1960’s and he loved Pran as an actor, Yo Yo tried to emulate him. According to the rapper, acting is a tough craft as you need to step into someone else’s shoes, thus it was important for him to learn to act.

However he does not forget to mention that writing songs, making music and singing is important to him. The ‘Xpose’ stars composer-actor Himesh Reshammiya in the lead. It is a detective thriller, and besides some new faces, the film also stars Irrfan Khan.
The movie will hit theatres May 23.
